SANUR, BALI – On Thursday, 22 October 2026, the Indonesian Venture Capital Association for Startups (AMVESINDO) co-hosted Bali Capital Circle 2026 together with Withers KhattarWong. Held at The Beach Deck, Bali Beach Hotel, Sanur, the forum was an anchor event of Bali Tech Week 2026, which took place under the patronage of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi).

Bali Capital Circle was the only capital-focused event of the week. It was a small, invitation-only forum for investors and family offices, kept deliberately intimate so that the conversation could stay direct and practical.

A closed room for an open conversation
The forum was held under the Chatham House rule, with no media coverage and no recording. Its purpose was to give investors a clear view of Indonesia’s new International Financial Center (PFII) framework: what it sets out to do, where its limits are, and which questions remain open while the implementing regulations are still being drafted ahead of early 2027.

Just as importantly, it gave prospective users of the framework a place to raise their concerns and technical questions while there is still time for that feedback to count. Honest input at this stage is what makes the final rules workable in practice.

The programme
The programme included a keynote on what the PFII will and will not do, a panel titled “Why, and why not”, curated one-to-one meetings matched on mandate, sector and geography, and a private dinner.

In keeping with the Chatham House rule, AMVESINDO does not report who spoke or what was said.

Looking ahead
Through Bali Capital Circle 2026, AMVESINDO continues its work to strengthen Indonesia’s venture capital ecosystem and to connect investors with the policy conversations that shape it, for a financial framework that responds to the people it is meant to serve.
