June 12, 2025 – Amvesindo, represented by Andreas Surya (Vice Chairman II), participated as a speaker in the FIKRAtech Roundtable — a strategic initiative jointly organized by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). He spoke in the Talkshow Session: “Venture Visionaries in Conversation” alongside Neil Cheong, Founding MD and Chief Program Officer of GUIDE, moderated by Mahaning Riyana, Executive Director of AFSI.
During this session, the discussion explored investor insights and preferences related to investments in the fintech sector, with a particular focus on Islamic fintech. The questions raised covered various strategic aspects, ranging from investment criteria and preferred funding stages, to key metrics and common mistakes made by founders. The discussion also touched on topics such as business model scalability, leadership quality, return expectations, and the outlook for fintech companies with global operational reach.
The purpose of this dialogue was to provide fintech players, especially those operating in the Shariah-compliant segment with deeper insight into the investor perspective. This, in turn, is intended to help them better prepare their business strategies and pitching approaches to be more targeted, relevant, and attractive to potential investors.
