Amvesindo, represented by Treasurer Lugas Prancafitri, proudly participated in the Knowledge Exchange Program on ‘Entrepreneurship and SME Development’ held on April 24–30, 2025, in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The program was designed to showcase Korea’s successful transformation into a global leader in entrepreneurship and venture capital following the Asian Financial Crisis. Through strong collaboration between government, academia, and industry—combined with a clear focus on innovation and technology—Korea has built a robust and dynamic startup ecosystem. This week-long visit aimed to provide participants with practical insights, tools, and strategies to strengthen SME ecosystems in their home countries through policy dialogues, institutional visits, and peer learning.
The event gathered 40 participants, including government officials and World Bank staff from Indonesia, the Pacific Islands (Fiji, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Kiribati), the Philippines, and Viet Nam. The Indonesian delegation comprised representatives from six key institutions: the Ministry of National Development Planning, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Bahana Artha Ventura, and Amvesindo, alongside three World Bank staff members.
This initiative fostered knowledge exchange and cross-country collaboration, offering valuable lessons on how to effectively support the growth of startups and SMEs by studying Korea’s policies, institutional frameworks, and innovation strategies.
